The educational under-achievement, and over-representation in the penal system in the British African-Caribbean community, has a knock on effect on every other aspect of black peoples lives. It is a by-product of centuries of systemic failure. This needs to be addressed urgently.

ENCOURAGE the AFRICAN CARIBBEAN person USING PRIDE IN THEIR HISTORY OF RESILIENCE to improve SELF-CONCEPT, SELF-WORTH, AND ULTIMATELY SELF RELIANCE.

The Solution

We address deeply entrenched notions of poor self-worth by the African- Caribbean, and unjustifiable ill-conceived concepts of the African-Caribbean by the wider society, through the following programmes.

EDUCATION

We work with all students from primary and secondary schools to educate on black history and culture.

Collaborating at Work

PUBLIC SERVICES

We work with the police, educators and health providers to enhance understanding of socio-cultural factors the British African- Caribbean experiences.
